This is IT! What You All Have Been Waiting For! (We really hope that's true)

 So, we are here and you are here!

 That's a good start!

   Before we get into content, we'd like to give you an overview of what we're trying to do here. For many years, Mandy and I have shared a mutual love of documentaries. We've gotten to the point where, (unless it's a movie) the only programming we have on when the television is on is educational programming, and more to the point: documentaries. (where she finds a near continuous supply of them, it continues to boggle the mind) We'll also watch entertaining educational programs (let's use Mythbusters as an example) a good portion of the time as well, but mostly it's straight up documentaries/series. This has led to us having an encyclopedic knowledge on a wide range of topics (like the known sciences) but also many other niche interests that many would find "mundane," or even 'boring." In our quest to continually have education programs on, we have found that the more narrow a documentary is in scope, the more interesting it usually is. Sure, "The history of Four Posted Beds" may sound like a real snooze-fest, but more often than not, you're amazed at just how many ways the invention of four-posted bed touches your daily life.

 Even if you hate the damned things. 

   So, in the interest of getting some of these documentaries out of the shadows and into your living rooms and minds, we're starting this blog.

 But this is no ordinary blog; it's got an intellectual streak a mile wide! 
 This blog awaits you with Big, Pointy Teeth!

  Sure we're going to do write-ups of the documentaries we watch, but we are planning on using our combined talents to bring you more than just reviews of documentaries. We're talking videos. Art. Trips to museums. Going to places of historical interest. Interpretive dances. (ok, the dancing thing is a bald-faced lie) And of course, our own content and documentaries brought to you with our keen, snarky observation, lovable personalities and faces. (At least we've been told that our faces are ones that a mother could love; and we know quite a few mothers)
 

  So, that's where we're currently at. A multi-media extravaganza based on our mutual love of expanding our (and your) knowledge base and having a damned good time doing it!

Of course, this all hinges upon YOU.

 We can make all the things all we want, but if we don't find an audience... well, then we'll probably keep doing it, but just not like you all that much anymore.

 But, seriously, we're hoping that you'll love it as much as we're hoping to love creating said content.
